International Trade

The U.S. market is huge, but the global market is many times larger. More and more organizers and associations are considering taking their exhibitions abroad. Kai Hattendorf, Managing Director/CEO at UFI, The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, will talk us through the situation as it applies to different key markets and discuss the conditions American organizers can expect to encounter when they open new overseas markets. Be prepared for a fast-paced tour around the world.

Competitive Collaboration Drives Technology Innovation

When competitors collaborate the industry wins. With the growth of online ordering and an increased reliance on timely information that comes across the computer screen, there is a growing need for standardized data collection and management. Discover how technology leaders in the events industry — whose organizations often compete against one another — are collaborating on ways to gather and share data for the benefit of everyone. This panel of IT experts will explore how seamless integration across different technology platforms can benefit show organizers and increase exhibitor satisfaction.  Steve Corrick, CEO, North America, Comexposium, moderates this session.  Joining the discussion are: Rich Stone, CEO, A.C.T. Inc. / EXPOCAD; Richard Maranville, Chief Digital Officer at Freeman; Rick Britton, Chief Information Officer at GES; and Don Kline, CEO of Map Your Show.
