Marian Bossard currently serves as Executive Vice President, Global Market Events at the Toy Association.
In her current position, she is directly responsible for management of the Toy Association’s two go-to-market events: the North American International Toy Fair, the largest toy trade show in the Western hemisphere, and Fall Toy Preview, the by-appointment-only event targeted to long-lead buyers where toy manufacturers privately show their newest product lines. In addition, Marian has expanded the Toy Association’s external relationships to bring to life two major initiatives for the organization. With partner Leftfield Media, Marian is staff representative for Play Fair, the Toy Association’s first B2C event for kids, families and fans; and with Balluun, Marian has brought ShopToys365 – the play trade’s only social digital marketplace – to the toy industry. Marian also oversees the production of PlayCon, the International Conference of Play Professionals, the Toy Association’s bi-annual education and networking event for those involved in play-related industries. Lastly, Marian is responsible for developing and executing international trade missions to emerging markets with the goal of assisting members grow their businesses within the U.S. and in the global marketplace.
Ms. Bossard came to the Toy Association in 1999 after spending five years in the exhibition management industry, first with an exhibit design firm and then Miller Freeman/United Media where she was Trade Show Operations Manager in their General Merchandise division. Previously, she enjoyed a 16-year tenure in sales and customer service with Delta Air Lines.
Ms. Bossard is a member of the Advisory Board to the Jacob Javits Convention Center, NYC & Company, and Women in Toys.
She is a 1977 graduate of Rutgers University and a life-long resident of New Jersey.
